Hi there, my name is Tania and I have been teaching at Logos since March 2003. Unfortunately I must return to Canada in June to attend to personal matters, but I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who I have met at Logos for making me feel welcome in the community.
I must admit that this has been the most interesting job I have ever had (and believe me, I have had many jobs!). I think I learned more about Japan than my students learned English! The children's classes have been lively and fun. It always amazes me how quickly they learn. It is very motivating and inspiring to see children soak up everything you say. If only I could learn the Japanese language with such ease!
Adult classes have provided me with incredibly interesting conversations, insights into Japanese ways of thinking (though I am afraid I will never understand 100%) and, most importantly, new friendships, which I have appreciated immensely over the past 2 years.
I will miss you all when I leave in June, but I am sending an open invitation to anyone who wants to visit me in Canada. Next year, in 5 years or in 25 years.
I can be contacted any time by email: tlapalme@hotmail.com
I look forward to hearing from you!
My favorite website for learning English is: http://www.enchantedlearning.com
It is a site for children but can provide interesting ideas for anyone.
